I’d love to share with you a Spirit message I received this morning:
You can choose to do, or you can choose to be. There is no wrong, but one is the greater path.
To be is to experience. To experience is to learn. To learn is to grow. To grow is to live. To live is to be a testament to Spirit.
We are the glory of Creation. We are the Song.
We live in a culture obsessed with doing. When we meet a new person, we don’t ask them who they are, we ask them what they do. We have confused doing with being.
Yet which is the greater? You cannot be without doing. But is it even possible to do without being? The one contains the other.
Many people wish to find their purpose. Most think that means finding the activities that bring you true spiritual fulfillment. And that’s a beautiful desire. But it’s all so much wheel spinning until you realize who you truly ARE.
Of course, in this life we have both. We are, and we do. But whichever one we choose to make primary becomes the center around which the other spins. And the center is where the power is.
Guess which one will let you make the most difference in the world?
If you are feeling ungrounded or off center right now, or like life is spinning you in circles, ask yourself:
Is your life right now defined by what you “do?” Or by who you really are?
